Our first site visit
We met at Langley hall park alongside a landscape architect and an ecologist who are currently involved with the park. We walked around the park to get a feel of it, taking account of our surroundings and discussing various elements such as the parks demographic, its potential, areas of interest etc. Previous to our site visit, we collected some data about the site via mapping and online research. We could clearly see from this some of the parks past life, such as it being used for farmland and when it had first become a public nature reserve. This is interesting as it helps to create a story of its life. Looking into the context of the site it is surrounded by housing and also numerous schools are located very closely.
